- Emphasis on stress prevention and proper housing conditions.
- Animal health is primarily ensured through preventive and natural methods.
- The use of antibiotics is strictly limited and permitted only when absolutely necessary, in accordance with legislation.
✔ Natural and Organic Feed
- Feed originates from organic agriculture.
- The use of the following is prohibited:
- chemical fertilizers,
- pesticides,
- genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
- Grazing and the use of locally produced feed are encouraged.
✔ Restriction of Chemical Inputs
- Hormones and synthetic growth promoters are prohibited.
- Animal health management is based on:
- proper farming practices,
- natural and preventive methods to enhance animal resilience.

- Contribution to biodiversity conservation.

The objective is to produce high-quality, safe, and certified organic products of animal origin using methods that promote sustainable agriculture and responsible consumption.
The Regulation applies to the farming of:
- cattle,
- sheep,
- goats,
- pigs,
- equines,
- poultry,
- deer,
- rabbits,
- bees,
- aquaculture species.

Application Submission
The business submits to COSMOCERT:
- Application for Organic Products Certification,
- Description of preventive and precautionary measures,
- Production / livestock farming plan.
Application Review
The submitted documentation is reviewed to verify:
- completeness of information,
- compliance with the applicable regulatory framework.
Verification Report
Where documentation is complete and verified, a Verification Report is prepared and signed in accordance with Article 18(1)(f) of Ministerial Decision 2543/103240/2017.
Certification Agreement
This is followed by:
- signing of the Organic Certification Agreement,
- acceptance of the financial terms.
Inspection & Certification
- An on-site inspection of the holding is conducted.
- Upon compliance, the Organic Livestock Certification is issued.
