Bio Suisse certification is an internationally recognized standard for organic products intended for the Swiss market.

The standard is based on the principles of organic agriculture and complements EU organic regulations by introducing additional requirements related to production, processing, traceability, and social responsibility.

What is Bio Suisse?

Bio Suisse is the umbrella organization of Swiss organic farming associations and manages the Bud label, the leading organic label in the Swiss market.

Bio Suisse Organic certification applies to products produced outside Switzerland that comply with the Bio Suisse standard.

The standard covers all stages of the supply chain:

  • storage,
  • packaging,
  • trading,
  • export to the Swiss market.

4. Evaluation of Findings
